So what can I do to help?

We’re not here to tell you how to be a perfect eco-citizen. In fact, we don’t really think such a thing even exists. The best climate action is the kind that uses your own skills and passion - there’s no right or wrong way to address the climate crisis (as long as it doesn’t involve burning more fossil fuels!).

It can be pretty daunting to think about everything we need to do to prevent a potentially catastrophic level of global warming - especially when so much depends on our elected officials and business leaders. But there’s so much we can do as individuals to make this change easier and faster. So let’s do it!

how to take action

The most important thing you can do is to start learning, talking and sharing. Understanding the climate crisis is the first step to making a difference and the more people we talk to and share information with, the more power the climate movement has.

You don't need to convince anyone to completely give up meat or move off grid (unless they want to), it could be as simple as sharing a book recommendation or posting an exciting news update online.

Already on top of all that? There’s SO much more you can do:

Vote with climate as your number one issue

We need governments to do a LOT more on climate. So by voting for candidates and parties that support ambitious climate action, you’re helping move Australia towards a greener future. Whether at a local, state or federal level, your vote has the power to help transform Australia into a global climate leader.

Volunteer, donate or support a climate organisation

We might be biased, but we think that working with others to create change is pretty damn great. Joining or supporting an organisation allows you to connect with like-minded people and channel your energy (and existential dread) into projects and initiatives that can help us avoid climate catastrophe.

Make changes in your own life

Whether it’s changing your bank or reducing the amount of meat you eat, there’s heaps of ways you can reduce your impact on the planet. These actions both reduce emissions and send a powerful message to the people around you to do the same - creating a chain reaction of climate action!
